RADIO AND FREQUENCIES
The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) monitors the electronic communications and postal sectors in Sweden. The Authority works with consumer and competition issues, efficient utilisation of resources and secure communications. The Spectrum department is responsible for policy and rules for the frequency spectrum, frequency planning and granting licences for individual radio transmitters. The department is also responsible for market control and issues concerning radio supervision.
Radio and Wireless Equipment
Radio and wireless equipment (camera links, telemetric, wireless microphones, communication, etc.) need to have frequency authorization from PTS, the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority. Permission to use transmitters must be done by an application to PTS in advance (Appendix C in the Invitation).
NEW PROCEDURE FOR TEAMS –
All radios must be checked and marked. That will take Place in the room next to the Anti doping Control in the Media building.
